Housekeeping Meatloaf


2 lbs. ground beef
2 pkgs. dry onion soup mix
1/4 C. water
1/2 C. ketchup plus more for the topping
2 T. worcestershire sauce
1 tsp. pepper
1 large egg, beaten
14 saltine crackers, crushed
2 pieces of loaf bread, torn into small pieces

How to make this recipe

Stir together the onion soup mix and the water. Put all the ingredients in a bowl and mix together by hand. Once it is all combined, place the mixture in a 9x9 pan and press down to fill the pan. Squirt some more ketchup on top and rub it around to cover the meatloaf. Bake in a 400 degree oven for 45 minutes. Let rest 5 minutes before slicing.
